-Just Gotta Luv This Guy
There have been untold thousands that have commented on the election and the numerous events that took place that day and honestly I know there is absolutely nothing I can add that hasn’t been covered. However, I think I would just POP if I didn’t mention my thoughts on his retaking of the Presidential Oath.
Personally, I think his choice to retake those vows, although he was advised that it wasn’t necessary ….. was the only way to go. After all, everyone has ‘there take’ on every thing that he says or does, every misstep or slip-up, when he smiles or when he doesn’t smile, the legality of his citizenship and everything else that’s known about him. There isn’t anything that happens in his public life that isn’t under the microscope … and if something unusual should unfold or some policy should be passed that an unscrupulous individual would want removed from the records, well … those naysayer’s would be ready to pounce with what they would consider powerful ammunition.
I really don’t think any one person’s life will be as closely scrutinized or has been as scrutinized and commented on more than his has been and will be. And he more than anyone else walking this planet [other than his wife of course] is more aware of this fact. And for sure, he knows that any opportunist will be closely watching and waiting for the right moment to try and pull what he thinks is a trump card, and use it as a tool to … possibly remove him from office, or remove some program or policy or use it for whatever little issue that he can hatch up.
Taking the time now … those few moments, to remove any possible leverage some opportunist could potentially use in the future was definitely an indication of the type of person that is currently running our country.
His job goes without saying is the TOUGHEST job in the nation, and his success not only depends on his decisions but the information he receives from his advisers. I just hope that his cabinet is as cautious, farsighted, and detail oriented as he is …
And there are those who are trying to raise issues about how the 5 majors stations weren’t allowed to attend this second swearing in … Well, isn’t it possible, that just maybe out of consideration for Roberts, the decision was made to keep it a bit low keyed. For sure they knew it would become ‘a headliner’ but why place more importance on this incident then it deserves … the swearing in wasn’t TEXTBOOK, so clean it up ASAP and move on to the issues that really matter. This little clipping is ‘way more’ than enough information for me.
